First climber to solo the six great north faces of the Alps in one season.
On August 24, 1993, Alison Hargreaves etched her name into climbing history by becoming the first person to solo the six great north faces of the Alps within a single season. Completing the feat by soloing the Cima Grande's Comici route in just three and a half hours, she accomplished what many believed implausible. This formidable sequence included soloing the daunting faces of Grandes Jorasses, Matterhorn, Eiger, Piz Badile, Petit Dru, and, finally, the Cima Grande.
This achievement was not only a triumph of individual stamina and strategic planning, but it also set an unprecedented benchmark in mountaineering. Each ascent required brilliant navigation and exceptional skill, pushing the limits of what was anticipated from a solo climber.
